Infection Prevention & Control
About the course
Infection prevention and control has a broad application across all healthcare settings. The myriad possible uses result from the combination of diverse clinical environments, different types of infectious pathogens (both bacterial and viral), and several evidence-based protocols available. Over the past few decades, the adoption of structured infection control practices among healthcare workers and clinical teams has grown dramatically. Their evolution has broadened the preventive options for patient safety, and also contributed to a variety of new procedures in infection management. Hence, it becomes imperative for nurses, doctors, infection control officers, and other healthcare professionals to consider structured IPC training in the prevention and management of infections across care settings.
