Application of Lasers in Treatment of Head and Neck Cancers

Lasers have a broad application in otolaryngology. The myriad possible uses result from the  combination of many different anatomic subsites, different types of pathology (both benign and malignant), and several types of lasers available. Over the past few decades, the use of lasers among oral and maxillofacial/head and neck surgeons has grown dramatically. Their evolution has broadened the surgical options for treatment, and also contributed to a variety of new procedures in oral and maxillofacial /head and neck surgery. Hence, it becomes imperative for ENT surgeons, Oncologists and other Surgeons to consider Laser in the treatment of Head & Neck Diseases.
